Propane

The
trailer was equipped with its original horizontal 13.5 gallon tank
|
This
is a shot of the tank taken in the trailers found state
|
This
is the tank after sandblasting. The entire tank including the valve, overflow
points pressure regulator and id tag were all painted silver. Which leads
me to believe that this was not original. I found traces of red paint
under the silver, this is what I am considering re-painting the tank.
Notice the brass id tag on the front it reads: "Santa Fe Engineering
and Equipment Co., Maywood California. Dated 1946. SN 6864. The workmanship
in this tank is very impressive. It looks to be all hand welded.

Here
is the finished tank with new valve. 3 coats of primer and 3 coats of
finish paint.
